Who Is Schwa Potter?

Hi, I'm Schwa. I'm a Broadway actor turned wedding officiant, and I've been marrying people since 2015. It's genuinely the best job I've ever had.

Your ceremony is the first moment of your celebration. It sets the tone for everything that follows. I think it should have your guests feeling the love, ready to laugh, maybe shedding a tear, and absolutely fired up to party all night. Whether you're planning a quick elopement or a big, beautiful, completely-you ceremony, I handle the details so you can focus on each other.

I performed in Mary Poppins on Broadway and have 30+ years of stage experience. I bring that same poise, projection, and presence to your wedding, without the stage fright.

What Couples Are Saying

48 five-star reviews on Google. Here are a few favorites.

"Multiple people asked us how long we had known Schwa, which is a true testament to how thorough they are when gathering information about us and our story. The whole process was easy and care-free. I would definitely recommend Schwa to anyone looking for a wedding officiant!"

— Connor C.

"Schwa's ability to customize the ceremony to reflect our relationship and personalities made our special day completely unforgettable. What stood out most was how they tailored every element to fit us as a couple. They took the time to understand our story and what mattered to us, then crafted a ceremony that felt authentic and personal rather than generic."

— Amera S.

"Words can't describe how incredible our ceremony was! Many weddings are somber and traditional but we wanted a wedding filled with laughter and humor and we got exactly what we wanted. Thank you for making our day so incredibly memorable!"

— Tyler M.

"The ceremony was so beautiful, fun and warm. Many of our guests asked if Schwa was a friend of my son's. I told them that I found him on the internet! They were shocked! Even the flower vendor told me he teared up listening to the ceremony from the back. Schwa now holds a special place in my heart!"

— Carolyn S., Mother of the Groom
